Named-clinician compounded GLP-1 care

# Independent Wellness review

Independent Wellness belongs on the shortlist if seeing the same clinician matters more than a large platform’s app. The pricing page makes the continuing bill clearer than the homepage: semaglutide rises from $99 to $199, and tirzepatide from $199 to $299. I would settle the actual preparation and written payment terms before treating the locked-price slogan as a complete agreement.

## A fit for

People who value the same clinician throughout weight care.

- The service names the clinician who provides continuing care.

- The detailed price table separates introductory and ongoing rates.

- Medication delivery and unlimited provider visits are stated inclusions without a separate membership fee.

## Tradeoffs to understand

Someone choosing solely on the $99 or $199 first-month card.

- Homepage price and no-introductory-increase language conflict with the detailed price table.

- Quest lab inclusion is plan dependent.

- A partner list does not identify the pharmacy or preparation for an individual prescription.

## Use the continuing price, not the opening offer

The pricing table lists compounded semaglutide at $99 for the first month, then $199 monthly. Compounded tirzepatide is $199 for the first month, then $299 monthly. Both cards state medication delivery and unlimited provider visits with no separate membership fee. Those ongoing figures are the useful starting point for a recurring budget. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1)

The homepage also says there is no introductory pricing that jumps later, while a lower callout lists tirzepatide from $179. That does not match the detailed table. I would use the clearly labeled first-month and ongoing figures for comparison, then require the agreed rate in writing. The promise to keep an agreed ongoing price is different from keeping an introductory price forever. ## Continuity is the main reason to consider it

Independent Wellness identifies Bonnie Lea Davis, FNP-C as the clinician patients work with throughout the program. That is a tangible service distinction for someone tired of repeating a history at every visit. The stated offer includes unlimited provider visits and continuing guidance, rather than prescription access alone. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1) [\[2\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-2)

The visit schedule still has a structure. The pricing page requires monthly visits: the first is a video visit, months two and three may use asynchronous refill reviews, and a video visit is required every three months. Unlimited visits should not be read as an automatic live appointment every month or immediate availability at any hour. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1)

Separate the consultation from fulfillment in [clinic care versus pharmacy access](https://glp1nerds.com/compare/clinic-vs-pharmacy-access/).

## Labs and location need to match the actual plan

The clinician page describes Quest Diagnostics lab work among program benefits. The specific FAQ qualifies that inclusion: plans may include labs depending on the program. Settle which tests, collection arrangements and charges apply before adding a separate testing purchase or assuming every requested test is covered. [\[2\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-2) [\[3\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-3)

The home and clinician state lists name twenty states, but older text on the clinician page still says eighteen. Neither headline establishes an individual’s eligibility. Confirm the current location and service with the practice; a pharmacy’s broader shipping coverage does not expand where the clinician can provide care. [\[2\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-2) [\[4\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-4) [\[6\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-6)

## Compounded medicine is a distinct purchase

The price cards explicitly describe compounded products. FDA explains that compounded drugs are not FDA-approved and do not undergo its premarket review for safety, effectiveness or quality. A provider’s brand-drug discussion or a claim about an ingredient must not be treated as approval of the finished compounded prescription. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1) [\[5\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-5)

Independent Wellness lists DCA Pharmacy, Link Pharmacy and Vidrine Pharmaceutical Group/Boudreaux’s New Drug Store as partners. That list is useful for identifying possible fulfillment arrangements, but it does not assign a pharmacy, formulation, concentration or usable life to every plan. The actual prescription and dispensing label need to identify that purchase. [\[4\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-4)

## No membership fee does not settle the exit rules

The FAQ says no payment is required before provider approval. It also says refills go through the provider and pharmacy process, with continued treatment approved when appropriate. Neither statement supplies a refund entitlement after approval or means future shipments can be canceled without notice. [\[3\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-3)

The reviewed pricing and FAQ pages do not give a definite cancellation cutoff, automatic-payment authorization or refund rule. Obtain those terms before paying, including the treatment of a refill already being prepared. I would favor a written agreement over assuming that “no subscriptions” means there can never be a continuing payment arrangement. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1) [\[3\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-3) [\[6\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-6)

Record the actual agreed dates in [the renewal calendar](https://glp1nerds.com/tools/renewal-calendar/).

## Compare the service, then the medication route

Hims provides a useful contrast because its care membership and medication bill are separate. Independent Wellness instead presents a medication-and-care plan without that additional membership fee. The better purchase depends on the confirmed prescription, follow-up and full continuing bill, rather than which site has the cheaper opening card. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/independent-wellness/#reference-1)

The home and price pages also invite inquiries about NAD, glutathione, sermorelin and microdosing. They do not attach a defined preparation and complete price to those additional options. Do not carry the GLP-1 package price or its inclusions into a different treatment request. ## Understanding the cost

Pricing page: compounded semaglutide $99 first month then $199/month; compounded tirzepatide $199 first month then $299/month. Includes stated medication delivery and unlimited provider visits, without a separate membership fee. Homepage also has conflicting $179 tirzepatide and no-introductory-increase wording; obtain the selected ongoing price, supply, labs and payment/cancellation terms in writing. Lab inclusion depends on the plan.
