Physician-led online weight care in Texas and Utah

# TOM Weight Loss review

TOM is worth comparing when continuity with one physician matters and the patient is in Texas or Utah. Its pricing separates compounded medication bundles from care-only membership clearly. I would choose the actual prescription and paid term first: lab work is excluded, quarterly charges are collected for three months, and canceling renewal does not refund unused membership time.

## A fit for

Someone who values a consistent physician relationship and can match the selected plan to the actual prescription.

- The care model centers on the same physician over time.

- Pricing separates medication-inclusive and physician-care-only plans.

- Monthly and quarterly collection amounts are explicit.

## Tradeoffs to understand

A shopper seeking nationwide enrollment, included laboratory testing or an unrestricted satisfaction refund.

- Laboratory tests are excluded from the advertised plans.

- Quarterly payment commits more money before reassessment.

- The care-only price excludes medication.

- Unused membership time and eligible medication returns follow different rules.

## The physician relationship is the main reason to compare it

TOM presents a continuing relationship with Dr. Tran Le across initial assessment, dose changes, side-effect discussions and maintenance. It is a medical practice, not a dispensing pharmacy. That model may appeal to someone who wants a familiar clinician rather than a different contact at every stage. [\[2\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-2) [\[3\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-3)

Care is limited to patients in Texas and Utah, subject to the clinical assessment and applicable state requirements. The first introductory visit is complimentary; a prescription is not guaranteed. A free conversation is not free ongoing membership or a risk-free medication trial. ## Three plans buy different things

The monthly Semaglutide plan is $199 and the Tirzepatide plan is $249, with the specified compounded medication, shipping, injection supplies and one physician visit each month described as included. The expanded pricing FAQ excludes lab tests. The promise of a stable rate applies within the selected plan’s prescribed scope, not to any product at any dose. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1)

The $100 monthly physician-care-only plan is different: medicine is bought separately through a pharmacy, including branded access or compounded purchases per fill. Its displayed pharmacy tables describe four-week supplies and say the exact price is confirmed before each fill. Do not compare the membership fee alone with a medication-inclusive competitor or assume four weeks means one calendar month. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1)

Separate membership and pharmacy charges with [the complete treatment-cost planner](https://glp1nerds.com/tools/cost-planner/).

## The quarterly discount is a collected commitment

The actually selected three-month option bills $535 for Semaglutide, $599 for Tirzepatide or $200 for physician care alone every three months. The smaller monthly equivalents shown beside those totals are comparisons, not separate monthly installments. Medicine remains extra on the care-only option. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1)

I would weigh the upfront payment against the next clinical review and the amount of flexibility needed. The pricing page says the plan remains active through paid time and unused time is not refunded. A lower equivalent is not automatically better value when the prescription or care arrangement may need to change. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1)

For a different prepaid membership and separate medicine arrangement, read [our Ro Body review](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/ro/).

## Included contact needs a workable follow-up arrangement

The pricing FAQ includes one monthly physician visit and messages for the medication bundles. The continuing-care page describes check-ins as optional and allows portal messages at any time. An included visit is an opportunity to use; it is not proof that an appointment or response happens automatically. Establish how follow-up and refill review are arranged. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1) [\[2\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-2)

The same physician is described as guiding maintenance and an individualized taper when appropriate. That is a service feature, not evidence that this practice prevents regain better than another. Anytime message submission also does not establish immediate replies or an emergency-care service. The clinical relationship should remain useful when symptoms, goals or access change. [\[2\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-2)

Keep continuity claims beside [the evidence after GLP-1 treatment stops](https://glp1nerds.com/research/weight-regain-after-stopping/).

## Stopping renewal and returning medicine are different decisions

Monthly plans renew monthly and quarterly plans every three months. To stop the next charge, the pricing page requires cancellation at least 48 hours before the billing date. There is no cancellation fee, but unused membership time is not refunded. Confirm the actual date and accepted cancellation route before the next charge. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1)

The separate March policy permits a medication refund request within 30 days only when the medicine is unopened, unexpired, sealed and properly stored. Medicine within 30 days of expiry is excluded, as are processed consultation, lab and administrative shipping charges. Authorization and inspection precede an approved refund. Clarify the allocation in the selected bundle; this is not an unconditional trial refund. [\[4\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-4)

For another renewal and refund agreement, compare [our SkinnyRx review](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/skinnyrx/).

## Keep the finished preparation attached to the decision

TOM lists compounded injectable and oral options as well as a separately billed branded pathway. Ingredient names and convenient routes do not establish equivalent evidence for every preparation. FDA does not review compounded drugs for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing; the prescriber needs to explain the actual product and clinical rationale. [\[6\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-6) [\[7\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-7)

I would shortlist TOM for its defined physician relationship and understandable plan choices when the selected quote and follow-up fit. I would compare a different access model if the two-state limit, lab charges or prepaid commitment are a poor fit. Member reviews and a broad treatment menu cannot establish a personal outcome or superiority over another practice.

## Understanding the cost

Monthly plans advertise $199 semaglutide or $249 tirzepatide with specified medication and care inclusions; laboratory tests excluded. Physician-care-only is $100/month plus medicine. Actual quarterly selector bills $535/$599/$200 every three months respectively; lower equivalents are not monthly installments. Separate pharmacy fills may cover four weeks. Confirm the selected prescription, full initial/renewal commitment and any outside charges. [\[1\]](https://glp1nerds.com/reviews/tom-weight-loss/#reference-1)
